Hotttt

So I am from FL which gets pretty damn hot and humid. Japan is definitely worse! This heat is killer and they only have one freaking pool in the summer and no good beaches. So lame!

New Friends!

I have actually meet some great ladies here which is especially hard to meet awesome people without kids that you can enjoy spending time with. I have definitely made some relationships that I will always cherish and remember.

Deployment

Well my love is gone and we are going thru our first deployment together. You don't realize how much you love someone until you can't be with or even talk to them. I know it will get easier as time goes on but I definitely don't feel whole without him here.

Finally

Haven't posted in a while. We finally got our things and pretty much everything made it here. My place is finally feeling like a home.

YUMMMMM

Had the yummiest food the other day. For 20 bucks for 90 min you get all the sukiyaki you want including soup rice and ice cream(yummy melon ice cream). Of course you also get yummy melon soda too.They bring you the meat raw and there is a hot plate at the table which you use to heat the meat while adding any spices or vegetables you want to add along with it.This place was great and me and the hubby will surely be going back.

Creepy Crawlers

So I find it interesting that in Japan they sell beetles at the mall as pets. Its so neat cause they have huge ones and tiny little ones . I want to get one but the hubby is against the creepy crawlers.

Of Course...

Of course there was a problem with the processing of our household goods. Found out our things wont get here until on or sometime before June 25th. I may end up going mad...lol

Loaner

We are all moved into our place and since our things haven't arrived they provided us with free loaner furniture. Now I want expecting anything grand but I was not anticipating on getting the bottom of the barrel either. This loaner furniture is quite possibly the most uncomfortable items I have ever had the un-fortune of laying on especially this cement block of a bed. I can't wait for our things to get here. That bed will feel like heaven.

Housing

Finally moving into our place and signing the paperwork tomorrow. Of course we get the tower that is furthest from the gates and everything else but on the plus we do have a great view of Tokyo Bay. Now for all our things to get here which should only be a couple more weeks.

Vending Wow

The vending machines here are crazy you can get anything from ice cold cola to a hot can of coffee.When I say hot I mean hot but delicious. They also have alcohol vending machines which I have yet to see. They are also everywhere so its super awesome.

Land of Nerd Heaven

Japan is a amazing place to live.If you are in the nerd culture then this place is heavenly. They have everything from the newest electronics and fiber optic internet to the best arcades you could see with everything in them. Of course if you are a Pokemon fan than this is also the place to be.Yes Japan is quite the Nerd Heaven.

Really?!

So found out yesterday that our things in storage wont get here when promised. In fact they cancelled our shipment.So awesome thanks a lot Navy.We will be getting this handled and I feel sorry for whoever has to hear what I have to say.

Japan!

Well I have been in Japan for about a week and the country is amazing.From the fashion to the food the culture is quite amazing. Of course it is just absolutely beautiful here as well except it has been cold and rainy the last couple of days. Cant believe Im actually living here.

Military air travel

The flight to Japan was long but enjoyable however the long wait the military likes to have on you till the plan arrives is another thing.They do feed you quite well though so cant really complain too much.

Bittersweet

Well today I'm leaving my family and my country to go live in Japan for 3 years. I'm excited sad and petrified all at the same time. I sure hope I can do this.

Hurry up!!!

I sure wish the navy would hurry up and decide when we are leaving for Japan. Now they say its anywhere from March 22nd to April 3rd. They are in no hurry to tell us when.

So back in FL early due to the fact that my sailors school has been expedited to be finished early.So I came home to spend time with my family before we head out to Japan. We will be leaving for Japan in March!! So much to do and a certainly little amount of time.

OMG

Yesterday I saw possibly the largest NEX Navy Exchange of my life. It had possibly everything a girl could need and it was two stories. Fantastic! Gotta love Cali <3

Had such a great day with my love yesterday.Went to IKEA which is always fun and then did some more shopping and my wonderful hubby bought me some adorable clothes including a shirt with a sailor Hello Kitty.Love it!

Had a wonderful time yesterday with my love seeing some of southern Cali. The shopping malls here are fantastic but a bit overpriced.I must say though they have a wonderful restaurant selection ranging from your typical mall food court food to your high end restaurant. More to come on the restaurants because I found one that looks amazing and me and my love will surely be going there.

California is beautiful! Ive only been here for about 2 days and Im so glad its the weekend so my love can show me around.I hear there are some great malls and Im all about that lol.

So I decided to start this blog to share my travels and life as the wife of a US Sailor. Me and my husband have been married a little over a year and soon we will be moving to Japan and when I say soon I mean like 2 months. Ive never been over seas and of course Im excited but I am surely terrified as well.Right now my love is out in San Diego,CA for school and I am visiting him for about a month.More to come on my California travels.
